Results and prizes from the FIDE rapidplay of 26th October 2021

Half term was busy, with 26 entrants, most of whom were looking forward to a chance to play the Grandmaster, Alexander Cherniaev.  In the end nobody could stop him coming ahead of the pack on 5.5/6 winning £100.00.

Kai Rundall had a great tournament and won £50.00 for second place with 5/6.

Danbe Luk from Hong Kong won £50.00 for being the highest player rated Under 1400 and also joint 3rd with Frankie Badacsonyi on 4.5/6.

Results from the FIDE rapid of 12th October 2021

 

The tournament was won by Grandmaster Alexander Cherniaev, winning £100 with 6/6.  Ernest Ignatovic and Mike Roberts shared 2nd place with 4/6 and won £25.00 each.  The Under 1600 rating prize was shared by Salvatore Pepe, Aaron Holloway-Nahum, Julian Llewellyn and Paul Haddock on 3/6. They all won £12.50 each.
