Thanks to sponsorship and a generous host who provided a superb venue we were able to run a ten player all-play-all tournament in Muswell Hill during August. Two players were able to walk away with not only some prize money but also valuable International Master norms! Thanks also to Matthew Carr and the English Chess Federation for the live boards.

FMs Maciej Czopor and Conor Murphy scored 7/9 and won £200.00 each. Conor's IM norm gave him the full title - well done.
FM Harry Grieve and IM Matthew Wadsworth scored 5.5/9 (see pic of their final round encounter by Joel Bird below) and won £50.00 each.
There is also a brilliancy prize of £100.00, which has been awarded to Conor Murphy for his victory over Grandmaster Alexander Cherniaev.
